I'm looking for pastel colored parakeets. I've seen like lilac and baby blue and yellow. The kind without the black on them. They are not the usual ones that you see at pet shops. I'd love to have a pair!
Where can I find these types of parakeets?
Those could be Bourkes or lineolated parakeets. They're not common in pet stores and you usually have to search for private breeders. I've seen rosy Bourkes and linnies at bird fairs but NEVER in pet stores (which is a good thing).
Reply:Well I bought a parakeet like that but it has black on it but my other parakeet doesn't its like a lme green colour and not black and the other one is sky blue and black. You can buy these birds at patsmart there called rare parakeets.
Reply:I tell you, its a matter of looking, sometimes you come across them, or contact a breeder and see what they have available.
