Summers Whisper
Lying on the lush green grass
Watching fluffy clouds pass lazily
Wasting time away
Warm air dancing across your face
Orange sun rays melt all thoughts
As nothing else seems to exist
A quiet breeze blows softly through the trees
Playful cries of young children
Ring sweetly through the sticky air
Time passes you by
Crickets chirp promises of better times
Shy deer watch you from a distance
As you dream the summer day away
All other thoughts pushed aside
Two blue birds sing sweetly on the branch above you
A song of hope
A song of peace
All the tears are washed away
By gentle summer rains
Lilac scented air breathes around your body
Engulfs your fears
Carries them away with the wind
This is summers gentle whisper
