October wedding in las vegas.. color ideas ?

i love purple, like the light colored one lilac.. so i was thinking the bridesmaids would wear that color. BUT if its in october, would that color be okay? or do i have to go with autumm colors ? but i dont like orange or yellow or brown- thanks for your input! :)

You can choose whichever color that you like. You might want to think about using a darker purple for that time of year, but there really are no restrictions. It's your wedding :)


Periwinkle is also a beautiful color. My friend had a late September wedding and used periwinkle for her colors. It looked beautiful.
Reply:If you have purple, maybe you can have black as a second color.... just because its nice to have a brighter color and a darker color...
Reply:You will most likely want to have pictures that look lovely and the colors you choose will make a difference. I suggest that you go to a few of the photographers on your list or call some reputable ones near you if that is more feasible. Ask them what colors show up best in flowers and other details in photography. I remember being warned that dark blue flowers can look like blobs in photographs. You might want to ask about purple, since it is a similar color. If the photographers you ask agree that the your color choices would be great in pictures, go for the choices you prefer.

Reply:First of all werer in vegas? I live in vegas. It sucks! Why get married here? Its not romantic! Anyways NO do not treat the bigger one different from all the others. Get a dress that everyone will look good in. There is this one dress my sister wore at my cousins wedding and my sister is PLUS SIZE!

Reply:Liliac and or lavendar would be great! Maybe you can mix two shades of purple like a light purple and the smaller details a darker purple.For example, the bridesmaids can have a light liliac colored dress and a piece of darker purple ribbon on the stomach that ties back in a bow on the back or something like that. Silver would look nice with it also = ) have a good one.
Reply:I would suggest a darker purple... or maybe a wine kind of color. The lighter colors seem more fit in late spring though to like Aug or Sept... normally Oct they start getting into darker colors. Go with a darker purple for their gowns, and have the light purple flowers and all for their bouquets if you do those. Congrats and good luck!
