Which colour is your favorite colour ?
I like green a lot and baby-blue and lilac(purple light).
Green makes me feel happy and peaceful.
Purple makes me feel real nice and baby blue is nice to dress.

Reply:Country Berries is the best ever! It's not too strong, just so pleasant. They use it in the library where I work, and I liked it so much I started using it at home.

What shirt and/or tie should I get to go with my navy suit?
So I'm at college and didn't really bring my full wardrobe. Turns out I'm going to be in a suit a good bit more than expected. I don't want to spend a ton of money considering how much I have at home. I have a navy suit (barely noticeable blue pinstripes), a white shirt with white stripes, and 2 ties. One is a simple navy tie with silver diamonds. The other is a diagonal stripe's tie with steel grey, purple, and lilac. So that makes two combos. If I only want to buy like one shirt or tie or at most one of each what should I get?

What's this flower? purple, five petals, hairy stem..?
It grows in my garden, has five green sepals under the five purple petals, and a hairy stem (although the leaves which grow in a whorl around the stem are hairless and look like vine or strawberry leaves). The purple-lilac petals have veins of a deeper purple running through them.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what this might be (or even its family)? sorry I haven't got a digital camera to take a picture of it!
ps. I live in Cornwall in england--fairly warm climate.

Pregnant or not?
Hi, i took a hpt yesterday, a predictor. There was a very very feint lilac dot in the test panel and the control dot is very dark. Does this mean its positive or not? I wasn't sure if it was actually there but i asked my boyfriend and he could see it as well. I did another test later that day which also came out positive. So i went to get a first response test but this came out negative. Did another predictor this morning and that also came out negative, i was a different batch to the ones that came out positive. Do you think this means i'm pregnant or not? Can't get into the doctors until next week

Sounds like you are most likely pregnant and the 2 negatives were unable to pick up the hormone. I'd wait and get another test if you want, but this time do it with your first morning urine. Why do people keep trying to find rhymes for Orange, Purple and Silver?
When it would be so much easier to look up synonyms for those words, which are much easier to rhyme.

Landscaping ideas for privacy fence on a downward slope?
The back yard is a gentle slope all around but the last 4 feet up to the fence has a sharper dropoff of about 12-15 inches. The whole backyard is surrounded by a 6 foot privacy fence and on the other side of that fence is a creek (hence the dropoff). My husband is concerned that if we landscape the fence area much of the bedding would erode under the fence, especially after rain, but I am tired of the plain sight. So I thought about putting some hydrangeas, lilac or spirea directly into the ground (no bedding). Could the plant thrive and would this look pretty?
Any other ideas on how to spruce up a tall fence? I've tried to look for examples but find that most are low picket fences or does not have a issue of a slope.

Tiffany Themed Wedding....?
Is anyone having or know someone who has had a Tiffany themed wedding, I just decided to change my colors from Lilac to Tiffany Blue ~

I couldn't find dresses and ties, vests etc. that were "exactly" that Tiffany color. I did find many favors and decorations in the particular "hue", however I just don't have the time to individually order and wait for them to arrive. It is a beautiful color, and if you have the time to properly coordinate it in your wedding than that's great. I eventually decided to use the "pool" color from David's Bridal, and plans are going along much more smoothly! I wish the best of luck to you.

I have added candles, my books, and a fake red rose in one corner and a fake black one in the other, and I put a vase of flowers in the center. I also have a dish with stones in it and a lilac twig. Is there anything else "speficiC" i should add, or can i kinda do it my own way? I'm a beginner, so anything is helpful!

I am going shopping tomorrow with my mother and future mother-in-law to hopefully pick the dresses they will wear to my wedding. I'm having a little trouble envisioning what would work well.
We're having a summer afternoon wedding with an outdoor reception. My dress is long, white, and formal; my bridesmaids are wearing knee-length dresses in Pacific Blue:

Reply:Mothers are generally in complimentary colors (NOT matchy colors). Silver is going to clash with the bride. Navy is not a summer color. I would try a dusty rose color, perhaps a soft yellow. You don't want both moms in the same color.

Reply:Mothers are generally in complimentary colors (NOT matchy colors). Silver is going to clash with the bride. Navy is not a summer color. I would try a dusty rose color, perhaps a soft yellow. You don't want both moms in the same color.

What is my plant?
I don’t know what my plant is; I got her as a cutting from a jumble sale.
She is rubber plant, I think. With tiger stripes leaves and with plant buds(i don’t know what else to call them) on the end of the leaves which when drop off form new plants. Now she has started to flower, she has never done this before; the flowers are like bluebells only there are lilac.
Any ideas?

How fast do these trees grow?
I got some baby trees (between 12 and 18" tall) from a neighbor--White Flowering Dogwoods, Flowering Crabapples, Washington Hawthorns, Eastern Redbuds, Goldenraintrees, and a Lilac. I have a small yard now, these trees would DEFINITELY overpower it (the two ash trees already do!) but in the next 5-10 years would like to find a home with a large yard/acreage. My question is, how quickly do these grow, and is there a possibility of transplanting them in 5-10 years?

Bridesmaid dresses?
Ok so originally we had dresses picked out but recently the dress became unavailable in the color we wanted... I'm now looking at bridesmaid/maid of honor dresses again... would it be a good idea or not to have them pick their own dresses? I really don't care since I'm not the one wearing them and I'm about to tell them ok maid of honor in silver/platinum and the bridesmaids in lilac, find a dress. Is that a good idea or should I pick the dresses? I could give them free reign or give them a list of like 10 dresses to chose from? What are your thoughts?

They decided that they thought it would look better to all wear the same style... than I had to find a dress that looked ok on all of them that was a reasonable price....
I wish we'd just gone with the picking thier own out... it's nice because than you can be sure they like them... and they will still "match" because of color...

I'm Redecorating my Room?
I Have Lilac carpet and walls. I am planning to put black and white bed spread , curtians and accents. Do you think this is a good idea? Please hep me with ideas. Also I would like to know where to get black and white pictures from fashion mags , ads, ect. Old ones almost chanel esque. Thanks so much!

I like the idea of your black and white photos. If you were to use a matte with a lilac trim, it will help pull your room together also. If you wanted a more feminine touch, you could use a lilac ribbon behind the pictures, (bow above, tails hanging below) that will create that extra warmth without too much expense.

Adult bedroom color scheme help?
I'm working with lilac walls (unchangeable due to someone's strong preference) and natural wood floors. I was thinking of paiting the funiture white, but I'm having trouble figuring out bedding and window covering colors. At first I thought silver bedding, but I'm afraid it would clash with the flooring. Maybe an area rug to break it up. I don't know. Any ideas? Thanks!
