I'm getting married in late August 2008. What are good wedding colors?

I picked deep peach and chocolate brown, but I was also thinking lilac and chocolate brown. The only color I am sure of is I want chocolate brown. What goes compliments it well?

I'm getting married in late August 2008. What are good wedding colors?
i think lilac would be better than peach. i'm also a big fan of blue (like a tiffany blue) or pink with brown. i would stay away from any shades of yellow or green. best of luck and congrats!
Reply:peach is good for that time of year yet because Lilac are my favorite flowers and scent..................LILAC!! :-)
Reply:Go with the peach or orange.
Reply:baby blue looks really good with brown and so does cream and aqua.
Reply:I think the deep peach would be a perfect complimentary color, especially the time of year, summer is just coming to a close and fall is on its way, perfect transition color!!! I would LOVE IT!!!
Reply:Brown and teal - but everyone is doing the brown and something else. Be original! A coworker of mine got married late last summer and she chose lemon yellow and cream as her colors. It was fabulous! She decorated the tables at the reception with tall vases with fresh lemons in them, and she used lemons to accent her floral arrangements as well. The smell was awesome - so fresh!
Reply:personally, i think the best colors that compliment brown are light pink or light blue.. those colors look beautiful with brown! a deep orange would also look really pretty with the chocolate.. whatever you choose im sure will be beautiful! good luck!
Reply:for my mums wedding she had a white dress with sepuins on and in the light the siquins are pink and the boys and the groom had a pink tie and white shirt and the bridesmaid and all had pink dresses :D
Reply:I say stick with the peach. I love it. I'm not a fan of purple in any shade.
Reply:Light pink or Creme, even both together with chocolate.
Reply:Chocolate Brown, beautiful

Lilac

Peach

Pink

Yellow

Light Orange

Green

Red

Think fall and the answers will come to you! But honestly I think you already had the answer with peach and lilac. Those are great choices, but I can't decide between the two, because I love purple and my answer would be bias!
Reply:I got married in august of last year and my colors were chocolate brown and blush pink! It was beautiful!
Reply:white, maroon, gold
Reply:A soft pink compliments brown very nicely however, getting your groom to agree is a little more tricky. I am a big fan though.

A golden yellow would work well and would bring a splash of color in the brown. This also gives you a variety of flower choices with yellow. Tulips, Daisies, roses, etc. Yellow is also the color of friendship so that could be a deeper symbol within your wedding.

A light blue, might be more difficult to find flowers to match but would also match your chocolate brown choice and I am sure your fiancee would approve.

Good luck and best wishes

Best of wishes
Reply:Light pink works well. Also try a yellowish white, somewhat like vanilla.
Reply:colors to consider:

peach, egg shell or off-white,gold and white .

colors to avoid:

all shades of brown ,black, red and yellow.
Reply:Chocolate Brown/Silver

Chocolate Brown/Creme

but honestly.... Chocolate Brown/Peach are a great choice
Reply:A soft pink or lilac would go very well. Deep peach and chocolate brown are associated more with fall, so if you want to keep a bit of summer, I'd stick with the more pastel tones to offset the brown.
Reply:Tiffany Blue is popular right now with Chocolate brown! But I think the other two you have chosen would be just as beautiful!
Reply:The lilac sounds nice but im not sure with a chocolate brown. what about a purple or violet?
Reply:Purple
Reply:I would agree with pink!
Reply:Soft and inviting colours are good for weddings
Reply:ooh I think both of those would go really good with brown. some other colors that go good with it are yellow, baby blue or teal. Have fun planning your wedding!
Reply:a rose pink looks lovley with brown as does a litle teal or aquamarine blue. If its late August adn depending where you live if you wanted to go with a fall theme you could go for a dark burnt orange or maroon.

Good luck!
Reply:Silver
Reply:My auntie had white and red which was nice. Bridesmaids in red and her dress had red buttons all the way up the back.

My personal fave would be whie with turquoise/bluey green which a friend had. We had turquoise sashes and turquoise shoes and big clothy turquoise roses on our dresses!
Reply:*powder pink

*sky blue

but i do dig your deep peach!!!

CONGRATS!
Reply:i like the lilac and chocolate brown

CONGRATS
Reply:Teal also goes really well with dark brown...lilac, light pink, peach are good too!
