im planning a spring wedding, outside in a japanese water garden. im not big on flowers bc i have bad allergies but i plan on carrying a white rose bouquet but i want my bridesmaids to have a single flower. what type of flower do you suggest? something simple yet elegant. i was thinking an ivory or a tulip but again im not really into flowers so i dont know what's good to use for that time of the year. i dont want them to have the same flowers as my bouquet. if this helps, though i havent settled on my colors we have narrowed it down to either blue velvet/ivory or victorian lilac/ivory. any help is appreciated. thanks
What type of flowers should i choose for my attendants to carry?
A white calla lily would be pretty.

They last longer out of water than an iris does too.
Reply:hey... congratz!!!i have been looking on google. go to the site, www.proflowers.com. maybe u can find something there. i dont know if u get this flower there... its called "varkoor", its in South Africa, but if u could get something similar to that maybe, a white one, it would look so beutifull no matter what ur colour scheme are. i have planned my wedding a long time ago, althou im not married yet, its just nice to plan it and get ideas.
just go to google and u search there for wedding flowers or just flowers. u will get a good idea of what u like and what not.
pls let me know which flower u gona use. i love planning stuff and to get ideas of flowers, i love flowers.
i hope u will have the best day of ur life!!!!
Reply:i know you want a different flower as your bouquet, but this is only a suggestion...your bridesmaid can carry a single with big petals, rose but instead of white, make it red.
Reply:A violet iris could work. it is considered to be acceptable in japanese traditional weddings. It would make a darling single flower display with a silk bow or with greens or even some bamboo if you want something less traditional to be ties with it.
Reply:I would get seasonal flowers so they won't leave as much of a carbon footprint. You can ask your local florist shop about getting local, seasonal flowers.
Reply:Velvet is for winter. The Iris is a beautiful violet spring flower. Why not have spring bouquets with the iris as the main flowers?
