Is my hair too dark...?

is my hair too dark to dye it blonde, i naturally have really dark brown hair and my hair is dyed black, and everytime i get my hair dyed by my mum's friend she pulls a face because she can't do it, but i know people with the same hair as me that have done it themselves! But i'm going to Toni and Guy to have Blonde in the back, black in the front with a bit of lilac in my fringe... will it work?

You have to bleach your hair first..sucks but thats how it will work. It takes the pigment out of your hair that way it can keep the blonde and lilac in there. Black should be easy to dye into your hair no matter what.

Reply:Bleaching your hair blonde will probably be your best bet, but my friend just bleached his from a really dark red and it turned out orange. As for lilac, it might turn out a darker purple than you expected because your hair is so dark now.
Reply:What's wrong with dark hair? Some of the greatest beauties in Hollywood have dark hair :Elizabeth Hurley, Halle Berry, Lucy Liu, Angelina Jolie, Elizabeth Taylor, and Rachel Welch. Could some bleached blonde like Pamela Anderson Lee or Anna Nicole Smith compare with these? Marilyn Monroe was a natural red head and died her hair. She was hotter as a red head! Maybe some women take her film "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" too seriously. I'm a gentleman, and I DON'T!
