What colour to paint bathroom??

I am moving into a house with a vile turquoise blue bathroom suite, the previous tenants had painted the walls lilac so as you can imagine it looks awful. What colour should I paint the walls to make the room look as nice as possible with the turquoise suite?? Also what type of paint do I need for a bathroom? Thanks x

What colour to paint bathroom??
I would like to find a very similar colour paint to that of the turquoise suite but in a very very light grey; something like a light grey turquoise.

Take to the paint shop a small turquoise sample from the bottom of the wall and look for this so much lighter greyer similar colour.

Plain bright white will look too contrasted, impersonal and clinical.

Harmony of hues should be your aim.
Reply:White.

Make sure it's sealed.

bathroom paint.
Reply:Yup, white, you can't go wrong.

Also, you can get special tile paint, if you've got any.

You think you've got it bad; the previous occupants of my house painted the bathroom pink. Yuck.
Reply:I have a couple of ideas for you...

You could try a dark chocolate brown with an off-white ceiling, and off-white and turquoise accessories (I love turquoise with brown!)

Also, it may sound strange, but orange and blue are complimentary colors. You could try a deep orange or red-orange and then use white and/or turquoise accessories.

Gray paint with white and turquoise or white and orange accessories.

You could use a tan or an off white if you're planning on selling anytime soon... I would steer away from having a completely bright white room, it reminds me of apartment or institutional living!

You could also try a black and white bathroom with turquoise candles and accents.

You really have a lot of options. I would first buy your bedding and then decide on which colors to use for your bathroom.

Buy kitchen/bathroom paint or a high gloss paint, it won't show waterdrops.
Reply:We have painted ours chablis. It is a champagne sort of colour and it is very soothing. Another advantage is you can have any colour of towels , curtains etc.
Reply:Get a special paint designed for use in bathrooms.I would go for a warm cream colour, not so cold looking as white and get cream and turquoise accessories to blend the whole look.
Reply:white - always white

easier to sell a house with a white bathroom
Reply:try white and maybe tiles with a hint of turquoise.

you can buy paint for bathrooms and kichens
Reply:Bright white, use Lowe's brand of kitchen/bathroom paint.
Reply:Kiwi green, sounds bad but quite good for bathroom/toilet
Reply:Crown, Antique Cream - it's a beautiful colour - very subtle and will look fab with turquoise.
