Input on flower colors pics included?

Okay so normally I wouldn't ask you to "pick" which you like better but I need some friendly input especially from brides to be and wives.

My bridesmaids are wearing victorian lilac and my maid of honor is wearing silver... I was originally thinking that I was going to go with white roses, and only white roses in the bouquets... but I just came across a site that has some flowers I really like and don't know if they would clash and I should stick to the white, or if they would look good.

Thanks for any input and if you need more info just ask.

If I had to pick I would say that the second one would look good...but, if you don't mind some input, I have a few pictures of some flowers that I think would look nice if you want to just take a look...hope you like some of them. Best of luck to you and congrats!

Reply:I love the colors, but I think there's a reason you chose the lilac and silver for your colors, so I think it's best to stick with variations closely matching.

I like the first link April gave you.

If you use mixed colors, have purples be the predominant color -

I like the lavender and sage on this site -

Reply:Hello! I think I would personally choose white I just love the "bridal" look when it comes to matching a bouquet and your gown, however if you love a pop of color I think either of these bouquets are pretty.

The only thing is that having this particular mixture of colors in the bouquet and knowing that you are going with lilac and silver, it seems a bit much. I guess I would take out the orange and yellow flowers. I mean, purple, pink and orange are analogous colors (as are pink orange and yellow) and therefore look like they belong together, but I think that less really is more!

Good luck!
Reply:you can do the white, or match the dresses, but I like contrast so I am having wine (burgundy) dresses for my BMs

and green orchids for flowers (they have some wine color in them too!)

Reply:While I am a fan of color in bouquets, the ones you picked were a little too vibrant for your color selections. Here are some other thoughts:

Softer colors will work so much better/

Good Luck
Reply:Oh my dear. Such elegant victorian lilac frocks, and you want to add a bouquet of cheap looking red, orange, and yellow to such vintage colors. I can see where you would want a little more color than white, my dear, but stay away from the 1950's kitchen colors, reminding me Marie's orange or green decor in her kitchen on Everyone loves raymond. Next, you will want to put plastic over the couch. Perhaps add one color, like brilliant red roses, or deep purple. Try to have a little contrast, but stay away from the country curtain look.
Reply:i like the secound one its alot more brighter and i think they would look good too
Reply:i don't think you have to stick with white but i don't like either of those pictures. they are too country home and don't really say wedding to me.
Reply:Love them both! But slightly like the second one better. I think the varying colors will look awesome!
Reply:They are nice bouquets on their own, but they won't work with lilac and silver, they will clash way too much....use colors in the lilac/purple family or white instead, it will look much more beautiful. .
Reply:Here are a few different ideas maybe they might help?

The bouquet below interjects some soft colour ideas, green and softer purple and silvery dusty miller. Very soft and romantic.

The next link shows purple with a punch. Best for the Bride with the colours you described.

The following link would be a match to the above link but for your bms/moh. It's the bouquet on the right.

Basically you would want to choose colours that don't clash with the silver which is a cool colour. I wouldn't use any golds or yellows. I do think hot pink and hot purple look great. Definitely do punches of colour, but be careful of the different hues also. Good Luck! :)
Reply:I've been a wedding photographer for 25 years and I gotta say NEITHER of your choices did anything for me - - - they were WAY TOO LOUD.... you are having lilac and silver... I'd go with flowers that were DARK purple, white and silver... those colors would look VERY CLASSY with silver and lilac gowns... Maybe the bridesmades and maid of honor's bouquets could be white roses and DARK purple flowers of some kind (even DYED ROSES would work) and then YOU carry the bigger bouquet with the white, DARK PURPLE and silver colors in it... THOSE would make exceptionally beautifully dlassic colors throughout your wedding...
Reply:Those flowers will likely look too busy next to lilac and silver. I'd recommend you go with the white roses. White roses will always look beautiful, and you won't have anything to worry about. If you choose they look in the flowers you showed here, I think you run a risk of having them look bad.
