Hmm... I was going to suggest the Uglies series, but that's a series. There's also the Maximum Ride series, but again... The only thing that I think might suit you is this series that I'm fairly sure is called The Royal Diaries. It technically is a series but you can read any of them and they have nothing to do with each other aside from them all being stories about past princesses from all over the world in history and all written in diary form. They are all written by different authors and only are called a series because they all have the same sort of main character, a princess.
Reply:I'll second Lurlene McDaniel books, though they are often sad.

What about Sarah Dessen books? Some are series books, while others are not. Many teens like her books. The link below shows some.

Have you read Speak? That's by Laurie Halse Anderson. She also has written others (not series books), so you might want to check out some of her other titles. (third link)

I read a book from the Dear America series. There's that word again - though they are a series, it's not about the same characters and they aren't written by the same person - they are just historical fiction. I liked Winter of the Red Snow. Though they are about girls from the past, their problems are still similar.

Second to last link is for books that are supposed to be similar (or are written by the same author) of Are You There God, It's Me Margaret.

Ella Enchanted? Supposed to be a good one, too. I haven't had a chance to read my copy yet. From there you might find some other titles to interest you.

Reply:When I was about your age, I read a book called "Izzy Willy-Nilly" It is a touching story about a popular teenager who loses her leg in a car accident and has to learn to accept life for what it is as well as how to live life in a wheelchair. I had only read it that one time (20 years ago), but it has left a lasting impression on me. You can find the paperback on Amazon.com for $6.99 or probably find the hardcover in your local library.

If you like horror, my son enjoys the books done by R.L. Stine like Fear Street and Nightmare Room. I don't know if Fear Street is a series, but I definately know that Nightmare Room is not. There are 6 Nightmare Room books but each one is it's own story with different characters.
Reply:Try the Clique series.. it's my favorite. Or the Dating Game, that's good too.
